Paul took over VCRD in 2021, a former VCRD player from 2005-2011. Paul played on USA Men's National team from 2012-2024. Earning over 100 caps for the team. He competed in multiple Pan American and World Events. He earned bronze in the 2019 Pan American Games and also Bronze at the 2017 Pan American Cup. Paul also played professionally in England and Germany. With top european clubs in the premier league, Bundesliga and 2nd Bundesliga. The clubs he played for is Southgate HC 2016-17, HTC Stuttgarter Kickers 2017-19, and Crefelder HTC 2019-20. Paul is now the head coach of the USA u21 Men's national team. Also a USAFH Level 3 certified coach.
Tyler has been Assistant to VCRD since 2022. Tyler is a former VCRD player from 2005-2011. Tyler played for the USA Men's National Team from 2011-2024. He is to record the youngest player in USA history to reach 100 caps, also earning bronze at the 2019 Pan am Games and 2017 Pan Am Cup. Tyler also had an amazing career playing professionally overseas. In leagues in England, Australia, New Zealand, and Germany. Tyler played with Reds in Perth from 2016-17 and then in New Zealand with Auckland in 2017. In the 2018 Tyler played in the 2nd Bundesliga with Wespen in Berlin. Tyler is a great asset and coach including with all our strikers.
Johnny has been Assistant to VCRD since 2022. Johnny is a former VCRD player from 2006-2011. Johnny is a current member of the USA Men's National Team. From 2012 onwards he has played in multiple Pan American and world events. He also is one of a very few players in USA men's history to reach over 100 caps for Team USA. Johnny also earned bronze at the 2019 Pan American Games and 2017 Pan American Cup. Johnny has played extensively overseas with Banco Provincia in Argentina and also with Chichester HC in England. Johnny is an amazing asset to the program with his coaching ability, a former assistant coach at the University of Cornell from 2019-2021.
Sam started as an Assistant coach for VCRD in 2024. He is a former VCRD player from 2014-2022. Sam played for the USA Junior national team competing at the Junior Pan ams in 2021 and also the Junior World Cup in India in 2021. Sam brings alot of knowledge and technical skills to our beginners and also to our performance group. We are pleased to have Sam in our staff.
Sonya started as an Assistant Coach for VCRD in 2024. She is a former VCRD player from 2013-2019. She played collegiately D1 at the University of California Berkley. She graduated in 2023 in a degree in Integrative Biology. Sonya is a great advocator and motivator for the girls in our program. She is a role model for our kids to reach a new level and knows what it takes to get to the D1 level. We are pleased to have her as our assistant coach.
Katie started as an Assistant Coach for VCRD in 2024. She is a former VCRD player from 2013-2018. She played collegiately D3 at Endicott College. She earned her bachelors degree in Sports Management and she has a Masters in Sport Leadership. Her experience and knowledge is amazing on how she gives info and feedback. We are pleased to have her as our assistant coach.
Spencer has been coaching VCRD since 2017. He is a former VCRD player from 2008-2011. He is a former USA Men's National team player from 2013-2015 and also Junior National Team player from 2011-2013. Spencer competed at multiple tours and events most notably the u21 Junior Olympics in Sydney in 2013 where he made a big splash in helping beat Malaysia in the bronze medal game in shootouts. Spencer has helped many goalkeepers in VCRD fulfill their dream to play for USA team for boys and girls get into their desired NCAA school. We are pleased to have Spencer in our staff.
